A paper-based system in a 24-hour facility is close to impossible to keep accurate: shifts hand over at 6am and 10pm, staff move between wings, agency and permanent staff sit under different conditions, and a penalty rate applied incorrectly is either an underpayment you will hear about or an overpayment nobody notices.

- Rosters and actuals side by side. The schedule editor shows what was planned; the timecard shows what happened; the difference is what a supervisor approves.
- Contactless clocking. Facial recognition suits an infection-control environment — nothing to touch, nothing shared between shifts, no card handed over at handover.
- Full audit trail. Every punch, every edit, every approval recorded — which is what you need when a pay query or a compliance question arrives months later.
- Leave and accrual management. Balances accrue automatically, with carry-over caps and rates that step with seniority, and staff can see their own balances.
- Multiple sites, one set of rules. Facilities under one system, so conditions are applied consistently across all of them.
What it looks like in a facility
A terminal at each staff entry, contactless verification, and rules that carry the award rather than a spreadsheet formula. Team leaders approve exceptions on their own staff; payroll receives a file rather than a folder. When someone asks what a shift was paid and why, the answer is on the screen.
